Personal Online Triathlon Coaching with Richard Laidlow :

As a triathlete, you deserve the personal attention and expert training advice that even the world’s best athletes receive. My goal is to provide individualized, expert triathlon coaching that helps you achieve your goals and learn more about yourself and the training process at the same time.

What You Get:

With my online triathlon coaching program, you receive a complete training package filled with great information and valuable training and racing tools. Once you sign up, you receive (via email) the “Triathlete Profile” which gathers detailed information on you, your training/racing history as well as your goals.

After returning the questionnaire, I perform a full and thorough evaluation of your training and racing history as well as your future goals. Next, I build your annual training plan. Using my training philosophy, your program gradually and progressively builds you into better triathlete – one ready for the challenges of your race distance as well as specifically prepared for your objectives. Armed with your profile details, the training plan is built specifically for you – taking into account your commitments with regard to your family life, available training time, training facilities, equipment and club sessions etc.

Using a sophisticated but easy to use web hosted package, you’ll find the training details for each and every day of week. These can also be emailed to you on a daily basis. No more guesswork on what triathlon training to do, just check your e mail or the days training schedule. This schedule incorporates every single workout. I also list the purpose for each workout as well as any special instructions or goals for workouts and races. The plan is built around the primary goal of your training cycle and along with your weekly feedback, is updated to reflect how your training is going. This plan is also adjusted whenever “life happens” and you need to change things around.

Your Part:

This is the important part. Online coaching is a two-way street. Just as I provide the training plan, I expect you to provide the feedback that will allow me to help you achieve your best. Throughout the program, I expect (and rely upon) consistent feedback (weekly) via your online training diary, e-mail, text or phone. Letting me know the results of each key workout, race, any problems with the training, upcoming holidays, family commitments, etc. This allows me to make any necessary adjustments to the training schedule. After all, the schedule you receive is not set in stone but is a continuing work in progress. It is modified continually, based on your feedback and with the results of each workout and race, so it is your responsibility to keep me updated on how the training is going.

Unlike other coaching programs, I don’t limit the number of calls or e-mails from athletes. I wholeheartedly welcome and encourage your feedback as often as necessary, especially in the early part of the training schedule. Ask all your questions. Let me know how things are going – both physically and mentally. You are the only one who truly knows your body so I rely on your feedback to keep your program on the fast track to success.

Cost:

The cost for the personal coaching program is 75 Euros per month (the minimum period is 3 months). This rate includes the complete package described above as well as unlimited contact via phone and email. There are no limits on personal contact nor are there varying levels of service/benefits (i.e., gold, silver, bronze programs). All athletes receive the same level of service.
