THE SUN...
Amelie les Bains is about as far south in France as you can get, nestling on the banks of a sheltered river valley in it's very own micro climatic pocket. This is one of the sunniest areas in France with Mediterranean sunshine through the summer and winter averaging 2750 hours  per year, making this area one of the sunniest in France. It is not uncommon for the midday winter temperatures to be in the 20's, making your training far more pleasurable.

THE SCENERY AND SURROUNDINGS...
The region has some truly unique and exceptional landscapes with constant views of green valleys, snow-capped mountains, river gorges and sea. There are inviting networks of maintained forestry tracks, ideal for mountain biking and running, plus limitless kilometres of well-surfaced roads with challenging climbs for the road cyclist. The Centre has access (just 400 metres away) to an outdoor five lane 25 metre pool (presently open from May to September). Nearby rivers, lakes and the sea provide further opportunities for open water swimming, a particular strength of the resident coach.
